In LOVE with February: First Post!

Hello All! Welcome to Playlist Therapy's First Blog Post-

We all know what day it is. I don't know about you, but I usually can't stand mushy "Love songs on The Coast" on a normal day- let alone February 14! So I have put together an alternative collection of songs that might be perfect for a casual Single's Awareness day. (All you need is your chocolate candy of choice- Buncha Crunch anyone?!)

Playlist
A Four Letter Word

Highlights
- Track 4/ Old School Love by Lupe Fiasco & Ed Sheeran:
I am absolutely obsessed with cross-genre pair-ups, and especially if it includes two amazing artists. This song is has mellow throw-back feel, not too emotional but smooth and nostalgic.
- Track 6/ How We Love by Ingrid Michaelson:
Ingrid Michaelson is one of my absolute favorite singer/songwriters, and she has so many beautifully intimate songs that go unrecognized (like this one). Her message about how finicky we can be, in love and in life, puts this crazy holiday into perspective for me: "We love to love when it fills up the room, but when it leaves oh we're cursing the stars"
- Track 14/ Love On Top by Beyonce:
I mean, BEYONCE! I can't help but sing along with this one and like to think of it as an anthem for self love (That's right! All you single people out there!) Add in a shimmy and you're ready to take on this Valentine's Day.

Stay tuned for another playlist coming up this month!
